Summary

The Bae 146 marketed under the name Whisperjet is a medium-sized four engined commercial aircraft manufactured by BAE Systems formerly British Aerospace (Bae). An improved version known as the Avro RJ family was introduced in 1992.

An all freight-carrying version was also built which has the designation "QT" (Quiet Trader). A further-improved version, the Avro RJX with new engines was announced in 1997, but only two prototypes and one production aircraft were ever built.
