Since the first event held in July 2003 the Stoke Golding Stakeout has become an important date in every pilots and every aviation enthusiasts diary and every year it attracts a greater following of folks always keen to be part of this unique gathering!
Back in 2003 it was a small and private event held to thank everyone who had helped to get the airfield back on it's feet after some years of neglect, but over the coming years a growing number of aviation enthusiasts and interested members of the public started to attend and from feedback we received it was quite clear that the biggest attraction for them was being able to get 'up-close and personal' with the planes and pilots.
Nowadays the event boasts a marquee, craft stalls, ice cream, bar, full catering, hog roast, Saturday evening party with a live band, camping, classic bikes and cars, local produce and plenty of interesting aircraft..... what more could you want for a weekend!
