- EART 2022 The 8th European Air Refuelling Training -EART 2022 edition- takes place from 17 to 27 October 2022 in Spain. It is led by EATC and hosted by the Spanish Air Force at Lanzarote Air Base. The training is run in combination with the Spanish fighter exercise ”Sirio 2022“ operating from Gando Air Base in Gran Canaria (Spain). France, Italy and Canada participate in EART 2022 with tankers, crews and men- tors. Australia, and MCCE participate only with mentors. The training director is the Italian Air Force Colonel Salvatore Melillo, Head of EATC‘s Functional Division. EART 2022 focuses on similar and dissimilar ”multi-tanker formation“ and ”tanker-to-tanker“ rendezvous procedures.
