- British Airways latest Airbus A320-200 G-EUYL. This new aircraft makes British Airways a member of a prestigious club that can boast 100 or more aircraft deliveries from every member of Airbus’ Single Aisle aircraft Family. British Airways has already taken delivery of two A318s, 33 A319s, 48 A320s and 16 A321s. This the 100th aircraft is also the 205th Airbus single aisle delivered to the International Airlines Group, which was formed in January 2011 following the merger of British Airways and Iberia. British Airways became an Airbus operator in 1988, when it introduced the A320 in to its fleet. It added the A319 in 1999, the A321 in 2004 and the A318 in 2009.

The A320 is a twin engine short to medium range airliner. It was the first narrow body airliner produced by Airbus and first to use a fly-by-wire control system, with electronic cockpit and side-stick controller. Developed into a family of airliners.
The -200 was the definitive production version of the A320, with better range/payload performance compared to the series 100. Weights and engine thrusts were all increased.
