The Kecskemet Air Force Day is more than an air show was packed with things to see.With over 100,000 visitors to the air show and nearly 7 hours of displays on both days of the event. Besides solo performances many formations of military, civilian and old-timer and warbird aircraft were featured in the air and on the ground.

Held annually each July at RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire, the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT), the world's largest military airshow, has gained the well-earned reputation as one of the UK's top outdoor family events. With over 250+ aircraft participating each year, upwards of 130,000 visitors and support from the Royal Air Force and some of the world's leading aerospace companies.

The weekend of 20th-21st July 2013 saw the 10th anniversary of the legendary Stakeout Fly-In event held at Stoke Golding Airfield on the beautiful Warwickshire Leicestershire borders.

This event has grown in popularity with pilots and public over the last ten years from its humble beginnings in 2003 when just 20 aircraft and a handful of people converged on the airfield for a weekend of grass-roots aviation.

Over the years it has expanded and the 10th anniversary saw a unique weekend with aircraft, cars, bikes, food, refreshments, camping, more food, live music, a marquee party on the Saturday evening and Trad Jazz band to serenade the flying displays on the Sunday. 95 visiting aircraft attended and many hundreds of others arrived by road and bike to sample the informal and very friendly atmosphere created by the owners Tim and Helen Jinks.

Tim said “We are always very keen to create an up-close and personal feel to the event where everyone can mingle with aircraft and pilots, it helps to let people see what aviation is all about. We are really pleased that over the years we have introduced many people to aviation and a lot have gone on to learn to fly as a result. It has to be the way”

A celebrated and humorous commentary was provided on the Sunday by the classic Swain and Wakeling team who kept everyone amused with their often risqué banter and a visit from the West Midlands Police Helicopter was the highlight of the day with the crew inviting the public to come over and see their magnificent machine up-close.

The whole event, including the Friday set-up, was covered by Picture 180 and AirTeamImages and a DVD will be released shortly. “I can’t wait!” said Tim.

German Air Force bid 'Pharewell' to last McDonnell Douglas F-4Fs with a Phantom Pharewell Open Day held at Wittmund Air Base, Germany. The star of the show was a special livery F-4F 37+01, the first one to be delivered to the Luftwaffe in 1974.

The Austrian premier airshow AIRPOWER13 where almost 300,000 aviation fans were treated to two action-packed days in Zeltweg. Among many other highlights they got to see a spectacular demonstration by the Austrian Air Force, the impressive Flying Bulls fleet and, for the first time in Europe, Felix Baumgartner's Red Bull Stratos pressure capsule and suit.

The 50th International Paris Air Show is organised by Salon International de l'Aeronautique et de l'Espace (SIAE) The 50th Paris Air Show once again brings together all the industry's players across the globe to showcase the latest technological innovations. The first 4 days of the Show, exclusively for trade visitors, are then followed by 3 days for the general public.

For many people, visitors and personnel alike, the Air Show is the highlight of the Royal Netherlands Air Force Open Days. Pilots of fighter aircraft and helicopters from home and abroad, go the extra mile in order to amaze the huge audiences with their aerobatic skills. The public is given a look at the past and future of the Air Force, but the most important thing is to give them an impression of how the Air Force operates today.

Goteborg Aero Show 2013 highlights included a look at Swedish aviation history with the presence of a Viggen, the most important Mach 2 aircraft ever to defend Sweden, and a North American Trojan, classic from the USA in the 1950s. For the first time the show was pleased to greet the Royal Jordanian Falcons
