King Edward VIII 'Kings Flight' Airspeed Envoy III G-AEXX was the first aircraft purchased specifically for the King's Flight in May 1936.

With the outbreak of World War II in 1939 it led to the replacement of the Envoy III with an armed Lockheed Hudson.
