The Avro Vulcan delta wing subsonic jet bomber operated by the Royal Air Force as Britain's independent nuclear deterrent against the Soviet Union during the Cold War period and later operating as a conventional bomber during the Falklands conflict.One Vulcan XH558 has now been restored to flying condition by the Vulcan to the sky trust based at Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome. The first test flight was on 18th October 2007 and was then displayed at various UK airshows during the 2008 season
