Flex Linhas Aereas is the result of the bankruptcy process has gone through the old Varig, which was divided into two. VRG Linhas Aereas (the "new" Varig), now in the hands of Gol Transportes Aereos, was the only healthy part of the company and Flex inherited liabilities and legal disputes. Flex was declared bankrupt on August 20, 2010
