On 29th April 2013 this National Airlines Boeing 747-400 freighter N949CA performing a military cargo flight from Bagram (Afghanistan) to Dubai Al Maktoum (United Arab Emirates) crashed shortly after takeoff from Bagram Air Base and erupted into flames near the end of the runway within the perimeter of the Air Base with the loss of all 8 crew members.
