Aircraft Data
The twin-engined short to medium range Regional Jet family pioneered the 50 seater regional jet market. The prototype was based on the CL-601 business jet, but with stretched fuselage and new wings and undercarriage. An EFIS cockpit was also fitted. The CRJ-705 is the latest of the long fuselage CRJs. It has the improved cabin and wings of the -700, but with further improvements in comfort, and aerodynamic improvements that improve the performance, longer range variants are available.
