Douglas DC-3C

Image Description

For the 75th anniversary of D-DAY, this DC3, s/n 12253, was saved by Plane Savers and brought back to flight status in less than 6 months by Buffalo Airways and a team of volunteers.
Work is almost done and it is scheduled to fly on June 6th. This RAF D-DAY veteran, built in January 1944, was used in different wars and by different canadian civil operators until 1989. It was then abandoned and left at the mercy of the elements at CYHU airport. 30 years later it will take to the air again, it took a lot of work and effort to bring this aircraft back to life!
