Aircraft Data

The DC-8 is a medium to long range 4 engined airliner. It was the first jet powered airliner from Douglas, and the USA's second successful jet airliner after the Boeing 707. It was developed into many variants of differing ranges and capacities.

The DC-8 70 series are conversions of the DC-8 series 60 aircraft, done in the early 1980s, by fitting new generation CFM56 engines. The -73 was a direct conversion of the -63, long fuselage aircraft, survivors are all used as freighters
