The Beechcraft 400 is a twin engined short to medium range light business jet. It was derived from the Mitsubishi Mu300 Diamond, rights to which were bought by Beechcraft in the 1980s.the 400A was the first major version, a higher max takeoff weight and greater operating ceiling improved performance, while repositioning the rear fuselage fuel tank increased cabin volume. 180 were built for the USAF as trainers.
