48-608, c/n 2600, ordered as a C-121A but converted to a VIP transport - the only VC-121B - prior to delivery in 1948. First flight was in October 1948, delivered to the USAF in November 1948. It was intended to become a presidential transport but a VC-118 was ultimately used instead. After being retired by the USAF in 1968 it became a bug sprayer with Aviation Specialities and then Globe Air in Arizona registered N608AS, and ended its days donating its engines to another Constellation restoration and was scrapped in 2002.
